Cambridge BEC (Business English Certificate) can help you to get ahead in your career. They are internationally recognised qualifications that show you have learned English to an appropriate standard and can use it in a professional context.
The language skills you will get
BEC assesses all four language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – in a professional context.
Our preparation course will help you to improve your language skills and to learn to use them in business. While you are preparing for the tests, you will be learning and practising the skills you will need when you use English in real business situations.
A test to suit your needs
BEC is available at three levels (Preliminary, Vantage and Higher), so you can choose a preparation course that matches your level of English and your professional needs. Our preparation courses have 120 hours of tuition and have been designed to people who are either preparing for a career in business or are already in work.
All our language trainers are native English speakers with post-graduate teaching qualifications. They are professionals that have developed the skills and knowledge required to train students so these last are able to take Cambridge ESOL exams (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
All three levels of BEC are clearly linked to the Common European Framework for language assessment.
A certificate that open doors
Once finished the preparation course and if you pass BEC you will receive a certificate, issued by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, showing the grade you have achieved.
You will also receive a detailed statement of results showing how you performed in each skill. This can be extremely useful for further study of English.
Besides that, the certificate is recognized worldwide and does not expire.
Each year, more than 60.000 people in 50 different countries take BEC exams, and the number of applicants keeps increasing. This means certificates are every time well known all over the world.
BEC is used by hundred of employers, either as part of their staff development programme or as a qualification that they look for when recruiting staff. Many universities and colleges in English speaking countries and elsewhere accept BEC Higher as evidence of a sufficient level of English to complete business – related courses.
